2024 AGM and Christmas party
At our Annual General Meeting in December 2024, several people received awards and special membership status.
Honorary membership was granted to the following people who have provided significant assistance and/or support:

Roger Pettyfor, in his role of Tweed Shire Council Manager of Parks and Gardens during the 1980's, provided invaluable advice, equipment and assistance for the control of Bitou, construction of the nursery and pathways, plus measures to modify visitors' destructive behaviour.

Alison Blatcher provided professional assistance on a voluntary basis with our FHC accounts.

Laurel Allsopp conducted bird sighting surveys for 17 years, initially fortnightly then monthly, including maintaining meticulous records of the results.

Nathan Piper donated six 1000 litre water tanks and designed irrigation supply for new plantings.

Gavin Keith has been a valued and generous sponsor of FHC since 2019.
Life membership was granted to the following people who have given prolonged, active service and/or a major contribution of expertise and time:

Joc Steele who has been an active and hardworking member of the group for the past 14 years, plus 10 years in the position of FHC secretary.

John Steele for his outstanding contribution of time and hard work over the last 14 years.




Kay Bolton was awarded Fingal Head Coastcare Member of the Year 2024 for her unstinting work and commitment in protecting and enhancing the environment of the Fingal Peninsula. She is always diplomatic, inclusive and caring in her dealings with all sections of the community.
While we appreciate all the support we receive from so many wonderful people and organisations,
the people listed here have been outstanding in their contributions to the group.
